Trên đường phố Hà Nội vào tháng 9, lá cờ đỏ sao vàng tung bay trong ánh sáng ban mai, như truyền thêm nhiệt huyết vào Ngày Quốc khánh Việt Nam. Trên bàn làm việc của nhiều người Việt, chiếc chặn giấy sen ngọc đang âm thầm kể về một sức mạnh khác – nó chịu được áp lực to lớn bằng sự mềm dẻo của mình, giống như xương sống của dân tộc này luôn sừng sững qua dòng sông dài của lịch sử. Ngôi sao vàng sáng trên lá cờ Việt Nam là ngọn lửa cách mạng xuyên qua bóng tối, và cũng là vật tổ gắn kết trái tim của 80 triệu người dân. Trong những năm chiến tranh, chính quyền đã cấm phát hành tờ rơi in roneo của các ấn phẩm ngầm; Trong thời kỳ cải cách và mở cửa, đã biên soạn từ điển ngoại ngữ cho du học sinh. Lớp men ấm áp trên bề mặt vật chặn giấy mang theo hơi ấm của vô vàn bàn tay, giống như nơi lá cờ đỏ của thần Vệ Nữ tung bay, niềm hy vọng vĩnh cửu luôn vươn lên. Khi những học sinh trẻ nhẹ nhàng vuốt ve họa tiết hoa sen trên vật chặn giấy, đầu ngón tay của các em đang chạm vào mã di truyền của nền văn minh; Khi các doanh nhân ngước nhìn những ngôi sao vàng trên lá cờ tổ quốc, đôi mắt họ phản chiếu lòng dũng cảm mở ra tương lai. Cuộc đối thoại xuyên thời gian và không gian này cho chúng ta biết: Niềm tin chân chính có thể đứng vững dưới áp lực như vật chặn giấy, hoặc nở rộ như hoa sen trong thời buổi khó khăn. Không khí sôi động của Việt Nam ngày nay là biểu hiện sinh động của “tinh thần chặn giấy” của hàng ngàn người dân.

This character of “coming out of the mud without being stained” has been flowing in Nguyen Du’s poems for thousands of years, and now it has become a moral standard in the hearts of every struggler. The most moving metaphor of the lotus paperweight lies in its wisdom of bearing heavy pressure in silence. In the war years, it pressed down the mimeographed leaflets of underground publications; during the reform and opening up period, it fixed the foreign language dictionaries of international students. The warm glaze on the surface of the paperweight is filled with the warmth of countless hands, just like the place where the red flag with a golden star is flying, where there is eternal hope. When young students gently stroke the lotus pattern of the paperweight, their fingertips touch the code of civilization inheritance; when entrepreneurs look up at the golden stars of the national flag, their eyes reflect the courage to open up the future. This dialogue across time and space tells us that true faith can stand firm under pressure like a paperweight, and can also bloom like a lotus in a turbid world. The vigorous atmosphere of Vietnam today is the vivid embodiment of the “paperweight spirit” of thousands of people.
